There can be a LOT of fields on a work item (citation needed), especially as organizations and instance grow.

While this data may be needed, loads of fields will make it hard for folks to find useful ones.

Luckily you can easily pin specific fields to the top of your screen.

How to Pin Fields

Pinning fields is VERY easy - just put your cursor over the field and click the thumbtack icon. Done!

Once you do this it will move up to the top of your screen. You can unpin and rearrange their order any time.

What Else Should I Know?

Pinned fields are unique to YOU. This means you cannot share your list of pinned fields, or pin someone else's fields for them.

They are unique by space. Each space you use will have its own pinned fields for you.

You should revisit them. Every few months double check what pinned fields you have, and then adjust them if necessary.
